About Me

About Me

Hi, I’m Keris. I currently work as a private personal trainer/online coach, including nutritional advice. I have a Sports Therapy Degree, with nearly 6 years of Experience within this field. I spent the first 2 years in a commercial gym before moving away to University in Birmingham where I interned at an elite strength and conditioning facility.

I currently work with a range of athletes. Some use strength training as a supplement to their sport, like hockey, running and cycling, as well as lifestyle clients that are working towards being in better shape and getting stronger. I also have powerlifting specific clients, who's training is heavily based around the three core movements: squatting, benching and deadlifting. My passion is powerlifting and strength sports which bloomed while studying at University. I have had world class coaches help me towards my goals within the sport and felt the support and feedback I got from them was a huge part of my success. I love working with a range of different people who have varying sporting goals, and they have seen how well supplementing strength training can enhance their performance. I wholeheartedly believe strength training is for people of all ages, abilities and goals, and I want to dissuade people about the lingering misconception that weights make people look like the next Mr/Mrs Olympia overnight.

I feel privileged to be chosen to help someone work towards their goals, and I believe it is paramount to build a strong relationship with the people you're working with. Having worked in 2 very different environments, and had different goals myself throughout my time training in gyms, I am well equipped to support a large calibre of people. I understand the importance of individualised, specific programmes and I endeavour to help every athlete under my care with personalised, detailed plans that reflect their ambitions, and help them to achieve their goals.

I thoroughly enjoy watching people make progress in the gym, whether that's through more weight on the bar, improvement in movement quality, or the mentality changes that come with increased confidence in themselves and their abilities.
